However, everything is far from unambiguous in the issue of playing sports while carrying a child. Doctors often advise minimizing physical activity for a given period, as well as not starting any classes if you have not attended them before. But how sound are such recommendations? Let’s figure it out.

First of all, it is worth revising the common view of pregnancy. The pregnancy process is not just the bearing of a child, it is also the preparation of the body for the birth itself, which, as you know, requires huge physical costs. For clarity, just imagine that an athlete who will soon have serious competitions did not prepare for them and most of the time he just sat on the couch. What results can he show? So a woman who most of the time before giving birth did not show any physical activity will be ready only for an operative birth. Unfortunately, such a development is far from uncommon.

Fortunately, nature gives women during pregnancy increased elasticity of tendons and muscles, and therefore from the future mother to maintain shape will not require any significant effort. The muscle endurance reserve obtained in moderate workouts will help to carry out successful childbirth. The main contraindications apply only to those sports that require jumping, running and lifting any weights. Sports, which includes elements of plastic gymnastics, on the contrary, are very useful. An example is swimming, the occupation of which is even recommended by many doctors. In addition, today there are many special groups for pregnant women, in which classes are conducted under the guidance of an experienced instructor and taking into account the required loads. In general, if you were engaged in sports before pregnancy, then nothing prevents you from maintaining your previous load in the first trimester. Based on your own feelings from training, you can continue to exercise with the same intensity in the first half of the second trimester. Exercise at the moment when the tummy is already clearly beginning to be clearly drawn should be excluded from the complex of performed exercises. At the same time, nothing prevents replacing them with harmless exercises on the oblique muscles of the abdomen. The main thing here is that eastern dance movements develop precisely those muscles whose good condition is extremely important during childbirth. For this reason, in preparation for childbirth, gymnastics includes many elements from oriental dances. The only contraindicated elements of dance are those where you need to actively shake your stomach. Naturally, such a contraindication becomes relevant only from the moment when the tummy is already showing itself.

Very effective is gymnastics based on proper breathing. It is called bodyflex, and even women who are contraindicated in any physical activity can do it. Bodyflex consists of special breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. Conduct classes based on your well-being. In no case do not give up classes at all, if there is no substantial reason.

How long can classes last? If we are talking about gymnastics, conducted in preparation for childbirth, then classes can be attended until the birth itself.
